America's cocktail history owes much to the great city of New Orleans.  This destination for creators and tipplers alike has given the world such classics as the Sazerac, the Ramos Gin Fizz and the famous Vieux Carré.  Vieux Carré is a perfectly boozy mix of sweet, bitter and smooth.... just like the Crescent City itself.

Vieux Carré

• 3/4 oz Sazerac Rye
• 3/4 oz Courvoisier VS Cognac
• 3/4 oz Carpano Antica Vermouth
• 2 barspoons Benedictine D.O.M. Liqueur
• 1 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
• 2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and top with ice.  Stir until chilled, strain into rocks glass over large ice cube.  Garnish with swath of lemon peel, expressed over the drink and submerged.

• 1 bottle Sazerac Rye (750ml)
• 1 bottle Carpano Antica Vermouth (375ml)
• 1 bottle Benedictine D.O.M. Liqueur
• 1 bottle Angostura Aromatic Bitters
• 1 bottle Peychaud's Bitters
